About us

MyBizHomepage is a free, web-based service that provides easy to use financial analytics and other information to help small and emerging businesses run more smoothly and profitably. Key financial information is extracted from the franchisee’s financial software and presented graphically on the user’s homepage along with Google search, news updates, calendar and franchisor-supplied content. MyBizHomepage brings all of it into a customized “desktop dashboard” interface that provides at-a-glance information franchisee owner-operators can use to gain better control over their operations.


What This Privacy Policy Covers

• This policy covers how MyBizHomepage treats personal and financial information that MyBizHomepage collects and receives, including information related to your use of MyBizHomepage products and services. Personal and financial information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, phone number or financial information that is not otherwise publicly available.

• This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that MyBizHomepage does not own or control or to people that MyBizHomepage does not employ or manage.

The privacy and security of your confidential information is very important to us. This privacy policy describes what information we collect, how we use that information in providing our products and services to you and how you may opt out of receiving product updates and other information from us. What information does MyBizHomepage collect?

• MyBizHomepage collects personal and financial information when you register with MyBizHomepage, when you use MyBizHomepage financial dashboards or other products and services or when you visit MyBizHomepage pages or the pages of certain MyBizHomepage partners. MyBizHomepage may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.
• When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, zip code, occupation and financial information on your or your clients business. Once you register with MyBizHomepage and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
• MyBizHomepage collects information about your usage with us and with some of our business partners, including information about your use of financial products and services that we or our partners may offer.
• We collect information about usage of our web sites (for instance the number of visitors that click on advertisements and links displayed upon our site), and reserve the right in the future to link such usage information to Personal Nonpublic Information for each customer or visitor to our web sites in order to better understand which information or services are of more value to our customers.
• MyBizHomepage automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, and MyBizHomepage cookie information.
•  MyBizHomepage may set and access MyBizHomepage cookies on your computer.
• MyBizHomepage lets other companies that show advertisements on some of our pages set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to MyBizHomepage's cookies.


How does MyBizHomepage use this information?

• MyBizHomepage uses information for the following general purposes: to provide the Financial Dashboard information, customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.
• At times, we conduct online surveys to better understand the needs, profiles and experiences of our customers and visitors to our web site. Participation in such surveys is strictly voluntary.
• We may use your Personal Nonpublic Information to service your accounts with us, to communicate with you about your accounts. 
• The information gleaned from your usage of MyBizHomepage is confidential, and is never sold on an individual basis to third parties for any reason.  We do reserve the right to use the information on a blind aggregate basis to offer such information as benchmarking, best practices and general data on financial and operating information on our registered users.


Will MyBizHomepage share my information with others?

Part of the functionality of the financial dashboard requires us to collect financial and operating data on the registered user in order to provide our service to the users.  MyBizHomepage does not, in conducting its business, sell or share individual data about its registered users and we will only share your information when it is combined and aggregated with other registered users without providing any unique information about the registered user.

In addition to the above, we may disclose Contact Information and Personal Nonpublic Information to unaffiliated third parties when, in our good faith judgment, one of the following circumstances exists:

• Where necessary for security purposes, to protect against fraud or unauthorized transactions, to resolve customer disputes or inquiries, or to respond to requests from persons who are acting in a fiduciary or representative capacity for you, or who hold a legal or beneficial interest in your account;
• As permitted by applicable law, including in response to legal process or to our regulators.
• In the event MyBizHomepage or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will of course be one of the transferred assets. If you close your account with us, we will retain information about you and your account in an "inactive" status. We will not use Contact Information or Personal Nonpublic Information about inactive customers for any purpose other than as required in order to carry out our responsibilities with respect to the inactive account.
• MyBizHomepage does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
o We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with MyBizHomepage under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help MyBizHomepage communicate with you about offers from MyBizHomepage and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
o We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
o We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of MyBizHomepage's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
o We transfer information about you if MyBizHomepage is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, MyBizHomepage will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

• MyBizHomepage displays targeted advertisements based on personal and financial information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on targeted ads meet the targeting criteria - for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area.
o MyBizHomepage does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.
o MyBizHomepage advertisers include financial service providers (such as banks, insurance agents, stock brokers and mortgage lenders) and non-financial companies (such as stores, airlines, and software companies). 

Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences General

• You can edit your MyBizHomepage Account Information, including your marketing preferences, at any time.
• New categories of marketing communications may be added to the Marketing Preferences page from time to time. Users who visit this page can opt out of receiving future marketing communications from these new categories or they can unsubscribe by following instructions contained in the messages they receive.
• We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the MyBizHomepage service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the MyBizHomepage Newsletter, that are considered part of your MyBizHomepage account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.
• You can delete your MyBizHomepage account by visiting our Account Deletion page. Please click here to read about information that might possibly remain in our archived records after your account has been deleted.


How does MyBizHomepage use cookies?

"Cookies" are elements of data that a website can send to your browser and store on your computer. Our cookies do not collect or contain personal information about you or compromise the confidentiality of your personal information.

MyBizHomepage uses cookies to store registered users preferences and to record session information, for purposes including ensuring that registered users are not repeatedly offered the same advertisements and to customize newsletter, advertising, and Web page content based on browser type and user profile information. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our behalf. MyBizHomepage also uses the services of Google Analytics, Urchin and its own proprietary code to provide additional tracking and analysis of Web site browsing and usage of our Web sites in order to better understand how our customers and other Web site visitors use our Web sites and the services we offer. Although MyBizHomepage does not allow this combination to capture or transmit any transactional information, the data collected does include your email address and a unique customer identifier that MyBizHomepage can use to associate the data collected with individual customers. We use this data in order to continually improve our Web site and the services we offer, and also to help us deliver the most relevant products and services to our customers. What are my opt out rights?

You may choose to not receive information about new products and services from MyBizHomepage, as well as other information that we provide for the educational benefit of our customers. To do so, simply click on Account Profile on the web site and amend your Email Preferences to check the box stating that you do not wish to receive such information. Your opt out election will remain in effect until you amend your Email Preferences by checking the box stating "Yes, please keep me up to date." In the case of joint accounts, your election to opt in or out covers all persons listed on the account. MyBizHomepage


Invitations and other Communications to Non Registered Users

MyBizHomepage registered users can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated invitation system. MyBizHomepage stores the email addresses that members provide so that the respondents may be added to the friend's list of the member sending the invitations, and also to send reminders of the invitations MyBizHomepage does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations, invitation reminders (up to three (3) per email address). Recipients of invitations from MyBizHomepage may contact MyBizHomepage to request the removal of their information from our database.


Maintenance of accurate information.

We strive to insure that the personal information we maintain about you is accurate, current, and complete. We will respond to your requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner. If you ever find that your personal or account information is incomplete, inaccurate or not current, you should update your Account Profile by clicking on that link on the web site or, if appropriate, by contacting Customer Care link on the web site.

MyBizHomepage contains links to sites. MyBizHomepage is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site a user should read the privacy policy stated on that site. Our privacy policy only governs information collected on MyBizHomepage.

Security

MyBizHomepage takes the security of information very seriously and has established security standards and procedures to prevent unauthorized access to customer information. We use industry standard means such as physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, including data encryption and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. We update and test our technology regularly to maintain and improve the protection of our customers' information. We restrict access to personal information to employees and service providers for legitimate business purposes to assist in providing services to you. MyBizHomepage registered users are secured by member-created passwords Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of member account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of member information at any time. If a password is used, it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential.   Do not share this information with anyone unless you determine it is necessary and are willing to do so.  If you share a password with a third party you assume all liablity for the use of that password and the access to your financial information it gives.  If you are sharing a computer with anyone you should always choose to log out before leaving the site or service to protect access to your information from subsequent users. Changes in our Privacy Policy

From time to time we may make changes to our privacy policy If we make changes, we will post them on our site to make users aware of what the changes are so users will always be aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and when we may disclose it. A User is bound by any minor changes to the policy when she or he uses the site after those changes have been posted If, however, we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify by posting a notice on our Web site for 30 days.
